A teenage boy has been stabbed with a machete during a terrifying home invasion.

The boy, 17, was at home in Bonnyrigg Heights in Sydney’s south-west when two men entered the house armed with a machete and a hammer at 1.15am on Wednesday.

Both were wearing face coverings when they stormed the property and stabbed the teenage boy.

Emergency service crews called to the home found him in a serious but stable condition, and took him to hospital for emergency surgery.
