Social media users have been baffled after Australian snake catchers challenged them to spot the serpent hiding among the tools in a Sunnybank garage.

Snake Catchers Brisbane & Gold Coast shared a picture of the scene to Facebook after being called out to the home.

While a few eagle-eyed users were able to pick out the snake, many have been left scratching their heads – some even claimed the image was a hoax and did not feature a snake at all.

But hidden among the cables, tools and paintbrushes in the work shed is a carpet python, curled up in a corner next to a saw.

The reptile can grow up to 10 feet in length, and though non-venomous, carpet pythons have been reported to have squeezed the life out of humans and pets after winding their way around their bodies.

One Facebook user confessed he felt ‘a bit concerned’ about being faced with the situation in real life, based on how hard it was to find the snake in the photo.
