Holly has remained at home during the pandemic, while many of her pals – including Chloe Ferry and Sophie Kasaei – have upped and left to Dubai.

When she was asked about the sensitivity of the posts, Holly responded: ‘Someone’s life being “hard” is subjective. It’s based entirely on their own personal opinion of what “hard” actually is. One person’s hard life might be another person’s dream life…

‘There’s also always going to be someone out there who’s got it worse. So I get why people might be angry seeing influencers on holidays etc but saying they’ve had it hard when people are struggling with bills and putting food on the table…

‘Obviously it makes life seem very unfair but at the same time you don’t know their life. They might be struggling in a way that you don’t know about. My advice would be to unfollow people if you find it gets you down.’

Another follower then asked her: ‘Do you think it’s wrong all these influencers in Dubai, it’s legal but so many people are suffering at the moment.’

It was then t hat she launched her apparent defense of her pals, writing: ‘Would you prefer if they were home suffering too?…

Calling for more awareness of what is real and what is not online, she said: ‘Social media isn’t real, you’re seeing a tiny snippet of someone’s life…

‘Everyone I know over there flew over before the restrictions came into place and have decided to stay over there. They have to have negative tests on arrival there and back…

‘Again I can see why people might be frustrated but I’d prefer people to be happy in Dubai than potentially suffering at home alone.’

She added that many influencers, including her pal Sophie, had taken polls asking their followers if they would like to see their content or if it was triggering.

Holly went on: ‘I know a lot of them had asked if people wanted to see content of them away and the majority of people said yes so I guess it’s hard for them to know what to do.’
