From cinched in waists to eyebrow-raising curves, many celebrities have been embarrassingly caught out for getting a bit carried away with Photoshop when it comes to their pictures.
This week an unfiltered and un-airbrushed image of Khloe Kardashian posing in a leopard print bikini was accidentally released into the public domain.
While the mother-of-one looked incredible in the un-edited snap, many noted a contrast to the usual highly glamourised Instagram images she shares with fans.
The Kardashian crew are known to be fans of photo editing apps (they’re often called out by fans who spot when the background looks suspiciously askew) but they’re not the only ones.
The likes of Lottie Moss, Zara McDermott and Kimberley Garner often share photos flaunting their tiny waists and smooth, voluptuous derrieres to social media – but candid paparazzi photos appear to tell another story…

Although the unedited snap has been praised by fans, who were still in awe of the reality star’s enviable curves and natural good looks, Khloe’s team have been working hard to remove all traces of the ‘unauthorised’ photo
Lottie was pictured partying on a boat in Mexica in January (left) and while she undoubtedly has an enviable figure and natural good looks, images shared to her Instagram account the same month appear to show a dramatically smaller waist and wider hips (right)
In March, Lottie shared this svelte shot to her Instagram page, showing off her flat tummy and toned legs (without a tan line in sight)
In January 23-year-old model Lottie Moss was spotted partying on a yacht during a supposed ‘business trip’ to Mexico.
She was pictured dancing on the boat’s deck and downing drinks while wearing a skimpy multicoloured bikini that left little to the imagination.
While the younger sister of supermodel Kate Moss undoubtedly has an enviable figure and natural good looks, images shared to her Instagram account the same month appear to show a dramatically smaller waist and wider hips.
The skin around her bottom also looks much smoother and free of any natural lumps and bumps (and there’s not a tan line in sight).
In a further photo shared in March, Lottie leans back on a chair to accentuate her flat tummy and toned legs, making use of low lighting to show off her assets.
Molly Mae Hague

Fans of the Geordie Shore stunner (pictured left last month in Newcastle) often take to social media to call out Chloe’s supposed Photoshop fails. Some of Chloe’s fans took to the comments in a recent snap (right) to say that the grey flooring around her waist and bottom area looked wonky and slightly distorted
In February fans pointed out yet another fail when Chloe posted a snap from Dubai in which one of her friend’s arms appeared out of place and warped
Fans of the Geordie Shore stunner often take to social media to call out Chloe’s supposed Photoshop fails.
Just last month the 25-year-old was accused of sloppily editing her Instagram photos after fans spotted her ‘distorted’ thumb in a sizzling snap. In another, in which she donned a skimpy grey bra and matching leggings, some took to the comments to say that the grey flooring around her waist and bottom area looked wonky and slightly distorted.
And in February fans pointed out yet another fail when Chloe posted a snap from Dubai in which one of her friend’s arms appeared out of place and warped.
While she’s undoubtedly blessed with curves, in a paparazzi shot taken in Newcastle last month, Chloe’s curves looked a little less exaggerated than they often do on Instagram.
People pointed out the water looked ‘pulled in’ at Lauren’s waist in an Instagram shot shared from Dubai in February 2019 (right). A paparazzi photo of her soaking up the sun on the same trip showed her looking a tad more curvaceous (left)
Lauren sparked debate after followers accused her of reducing her waist in a saucy bedroom mirror selfie in 2018 (left). Pictured right the following month
The former Towie star is expecting her first child with boyfriend Charlie Drury and has been happily flaunting her baby bump on social media.
Before she fell pregnant, Lauren was regularly called out by fans for sharing Photoshopped snaps, and even admitted it in her New! magazine column in 2018, writing: ‘Loads of people edit their pics – even the Kardashians, for God’s sake!’
In a striking shot shared from a boat in Dubai in February 2019, observers claimed the water looked ‘pulled in’ at Lauren’s waist. A paparazzi photo of her soaking up the sun on the same trip showed her looking a tad more curvaceous.
She recently told Closer: ‘Filters were invented for a little bit of fun. Who doesn’t like to look good in a picture? I feel like the use of filters is taken so seriously when it really doesn’t need to be.’
Lauren sparked debate after followers accused her of reducing her waist in a saucy bedroom mirror selfie. She hit back claiming she ‘barely changed it’, adding: ‘I’m flattered that everyone seems to think I did.’
Trisha Paytas donned a blonde wig with make-up that made her skin look flawless on social media (pictured left), however her friend Ethan whom she has a podcast with shared a photo without editing and make-up on YouTube (pictured right)
The American YouTuber who boasts over 5 million subscribers on YouTube has gained a reputation of being candid on the platform.
However, fans have spotted that Trisha Paytas looks almost unrecognisable without her full face of makeup and have even accused her of editing her photos.
In May 2019, she took to Twitter to share a glamorous photograph wearing faux blonde braids with smooth skin and a slender frame.
Trisha responded to comments accusing her of cultural appropriation, saying: ‘Who knew a wig could be so controversial? Everyone needs to relax. There wasn’t a sign on this wig , that said Caucasians weren’t allowed to buy it.’
The attempt to shift attention away from her appearance, failed with her friend Ethan who she currently has a podcast with even sharing an unedited image of Trisha without makeup – which has since featured in many YouTube videos comparing Trisha’s inconsistent appearance.

The Made in Chelsea star rarely misses an opportunity to flaunt her sensational physique, frequently posing up a storm on Instagram.
She’s been praised for being honest about her body enhancements, revealing in February that she secretly went under the knife to have her boobs made ‘fuller and more symmetrical’.
But in July Zara was accused of Photoshopping bikini snaps from a summer holiday with beau Sam Thompson after images shared on her Instagram contrasted with paparazzi snaps taken on the beach.
While Zara looked stunning in a monochrome polka dot bikini, in a snap shared to social media days later, showing her wearing a vibrant yellow two-piece, she appeared to show off a much narrower waist. Her photo editing has also landed her in hot water during the Covid pandemic.
In January she was caught sharing a snap in which she’d blurred out a backdrop which clearly showed she was in the tropical location – after it emerged she’d broken Tier 4 travel rules to jet off for a romantic New Year’s break with Sam.
At the beginning of this month, pop queen Madonna showed off her perfectly smooth face as she uploaded a string of flawless, wrinkle-free selfies (left) but a snap of her in the back of a car leaving a party in 2018 (right) revealed the super star’s real face
At the beginning of this month, pop queen Madonna showed off her perfectly smooth face as she uploaded a string of flawless, wrinkle-free selfies.
The 62-year-old singer regularly shares heavily filtered snaps to her Instagram – and while she is blessed with age-defying looks, a snap of her in the back of a car leaving a party in 2018 revealed the super star’s real face.
Madonna was recently accused of photoshopping her head onto another woman’s body. She made the post back in 2015, but TikTok user Amelia Goldie shared her confusion about the incident on her account last month.
Sarah Roza and Melissa Walsh
Do you recognise these women? Married At First Sight fans may have struggled to recognise Melissa Walsh (left) and Sarah Roza (right) after an excessively Photoshopped image of the pair surfaced on Instagram last week
New look: The black-and-white image showed Sarah and Melissa posing in cleavage-baring outfits, and they both looked completely unrecognisable due to airbrushing. Sarah is pictured left at the MAFS Grand Reunion in February 2021, and right on Instagram last week
Unnatural: Their faces looked blurred and featureless in the photo, and both women’s eyes and teeth were unnaturally white. Melissa is pictured left on MAFS in 2018, and right on Instagram
