Hunter McGrady has revealed her 23-year-old brother Tynan has died in an accident while paying tribute to her younger sibling, saying he ‘went to be with the Lord.’
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model, who is currently pregnant with her first child, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a heartbreaking post announcing that her younger brother had passed away over the weekend.
‘The most gut wrenching words I’ve ever had to write in my life, one that no one ever wants to. My chest is heavy and I feel like I’ll never breathe again, I don’t know how this pain repairs or if it ever feels like life can live again. My baby brother went to be with the Lord on May 1st,’ Hunter, 28, wrote.

The mom-to-be called Tynan ‘the most kind, gentle, loving, beautiful, intelligent, funny human being this earth has ever known.’
‘If you know me you know I rave about my brother, he is and will always be the love of my life,’ she said. ‘I would text my brother every single night the words “Goodnight I love you [heart emoji” because I never wanted a day to go by without him knowing how much I love and adore him.’
Hunter shared a screenshot of the messages she sent her brother as well as pictures of them together. In one picture, they are posing together at her 2019 wedding to Brian Keys. Another shows them together as children.
‘Every one around him has always said nothing but beautiful things, his friends’ parents always said “we’re so glad Tynan is in our child’s life, he’s such a good influence,”‘ she recalled.

Determined: Tynan was just three weeks away from graduating from San Francisco State University, and Hunter vowed that he will get his computer engineering degree
Tynan was a senior at San Francisco State University when he passed away and was supposed to graduate this month.
‘He was absolutely brilliant, just three weeks shy of graduating SFSU with a computer engineering degree. He will get that degree, we will make sure of it, he worked too hard not to,’ Hunter insisted.
‘I’ve never known someone to be so passionate about computer engineering, coding, cars, and gaming. He was knowledgeable about this stuff beyond belief, he would show me his homework and I felt like Einstein was showing me something.’
Hunter didn’t share how her brother died in the post, though she made reference to an accident.

Mourning: Hunter’s older sister Michaela (pictured with Tynan) paid tribute to their late brother with her own social media post
‘There is no telling why these things happen, why accidents happen, why life is taken too short. I’m so grateful for beautiful the 23 years God gave us with him,’ she said. ‘I know we will meet again because the Bible says so.’
Hunter then shared the Bible verse Revelation 21:4: ‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.’
She concluded her post by thanking her brother for the joy he brought to her life, writing: ‘Thank you for making me a big sister. Thank you for your heart. Goodnight my sweet beautiful Bubba, I love you.’
Hunter also has an older sister, Michaela, who paid tribute to their late brother with her own social media post.

‘This is the most difficult thing I have ever had to write. On May 1st my sweet baby brother received his angel wings,’ she wrote.
‘My family and I are devastated. He was the baby of the family and the light in all of our lives. He lit up every room he walked into and was the most gentle spirit to ever walk this earth.

‘The amount of times we had people come to us and tell us they were proud to know him is countless. His impact on his world was greatly felt and it will continue to be felt throughout our family, the friends and those that live on to remember him.
‘I try not to think of the times I will never again experience with him but be grateful for the times I was gifted. I was able to spend 23 years with my baby brother. A gift. A treasure. He inspired me every day.’
Michaela ended her post with a message to her brother, whom her family lost too soon, writing: ‘Tynan, being your big sister was the honor of my life. I will spend the rest of eternity trying to find the reasons why you were taken from us.
‘I just want you back here with us so badly. But as I lean heavily onto my family and my faith that you are with God I am endlessly grateful that you are with Him and we will be together again one day.’
