Ariana Grande broke down in tears on The Voice on Tuesday when it was revealed that her team members Jim and Sasha Allen were in danger of going home.

After it was announced that the duo was in the bottom two they took the stage and performed I Won’t Give Up by Jason Mraz to win the last chance save of the night.

Ariana said she was shocked to see them in this position because they were two brilliant men.

‘It doesn’t make sense you are so brilliant,’ said Ariana as she begged people to vote for them.

Jim and Sasha, from Newtown, Connectic, told the 28-year-old pop singer that working with her had had been the greatest gift to them.

‘I love you so much,’ said Sasha. ‘You have been so impactful on me and my music, to us, to this entire experience . And to every trans kid out there who thinks there’s no way, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel… it will only get better.’

Ariana teared up when she listened to his words. She told them that she was so thankful to have crossed paths with them.

‘This show is part of a bigger picture,’ she said, wearing a blue leather bandeau top and skirt with matching long blue gloves. ‘Our paths were meant to cross and this is such a beautiful gift to know you and see you perform.’

She told them she was not going anywhere and that she would support them forever.

‘You can’t get rid of me,’ she said while crying.

In the final moments of the show, when show host Carson Daly ,48, announced that Jim and Sasha were saved, Ariana rushed to the stage to hug them. 

Earlier in the show, Ariana  performed with Jim and Sasha and her other team member Holly Forbes, 32, from Catlettsburg, Kentucky, as they sang FourFiveSeconds by Rihanna and Kanye West and Paul McCartney. 

They harmonized as they sang around a campfire on stage while Jim also played a guitar.

Blake Shelton, 45, also took the stage with his team singing Can’t Help Myself by the Four Tops with country singer Lana Scott, 29, from Chesapeake, Virginia; Jacksonville soul singer Paris Winningham, 33; and power house singer Wendy Moten, 57, from Nashville. 

When the song ended, Wendy turned around and tripped over one of the speakers falling face down on the stage. Paris and Lana instantly stepped in to help her get back up. Blake’s back was turned and he didn’t realize what had just occurred behind him, but then checked on her.

‘Everybody alright?’ asked Carson. ‘We will take a quick second. We just had somebody fall.’

Blake walked back up on stage to see if she was okay. A member of the crew and Blake helped Wendy walk off the stage.

‘We hope she is okay,’ said Carson.

When the show returned from a break, Carson was standing with Wendy who said she was a little bruised but okay. She said ‘I’m still ready to go.’ Carson said he was so glad that she was okay.

First two artists saved were New York singer Joshua Vacanti, 28, from John Legend’s team and 14-year-old Hailey Mia from Clifton, New Jersey, on Kelly Clarkson’s team.

Next, Carson brought the remaining contestants on stage. He asked Texas soul singer Jershika Maple, 25, from Killeen, Texas, who worked as a security guard, if she had a message for her fans. She said to just be open to change and to take the limits off your life. Carson then announced the remaining artists that were saved and moving on were Paris from Team Blake and and Holly from Ariana’s team.

Caron announced that the next three saved were Wendy and Lana from Team Blake and the Girl Named Tom family trio from Pettisville, Ohio. Team Kelly’s passionate pop singer Jeremy Rosado, 29, from Tampa,, and Texas soul singer Jershika, were also saved, Carson said.

At the end of the show, Gymani from team Kelly sang Tell Me Something Good by Rufus to try to win the last chance but she was ultimately voted off the show. John told her that he loved how ‘unstoppable’ she was. 

Kelly told her she was such an entertainer and was such a powerhouse. Gymani thanked Kelly for challenging her and for having her on her team. Kelly told Gymani that she had another show she could go sing on if she wanted to promote herself.

The Voice will return next Monday on NBC.
