A mum-of-two has impressed foodies online after revealing her ‘quick office breakfast hack’ for easy loaded scrambled eggs.

Rather than cooking the meal in advance and reheating, Tamika, from Queensland made her breakfast using the office microwave.

She placed two raw eggs, grated cheese, milk, diced tomato and shallots in a Ziplock bag then mixed all the ingredients together in a bowl to microwave for three minutes.

On Facebook Tamika said the meal was ‘delicious’ and served the eggs on a slice of toast.

‘I don’t personally like cereal or toast and I try to eat fairly low carb. I started taking this to work this week and it’s such a delicious quick healthy breakfast if you have a microwave,’ Tamika wrote on Facebook.

‘You do need to stop and give it a mix with the fork every 30 seconds, stop when you are happy with the consistency.’

It’s important to stir the mixture every 30 seconds otherwise the eggs will explode in the microwave.

‘I don’t like a hard scrambled so I stop around 2.5 minutes but this will also depend on your microwave,’ Tamika said.

At first the unusual trick divided foodies on social media, but hundreds later supported the hack claiming it as a ‘great idea’ for camping and fussy children.

‘This works really well in a Mason Jar. If you crack the eggs and put it in the fridge overnight, it stays fine,’ Taylah wrote in the comments and shared an image.

‘Please consider this instead of two plastic bags everyday, our environment and your bank will thank you,’ she added.

Others who tried the ‘genius’ hack supported the idea and recommended it to others.

‘You can also do this while camping, you out the Ziplock bags into boiling water with all the ingredients in it. Great for fussy kids who like different things in their eggs,’ one woman wrote.

‘That’s a great idea. Eggs are so good for you. If you add crumbled feta and frozen spinach, it’s really nice in a scramble too,’ another added.

A third was impressed and said: ‘It looks like it would be delish! Thanks for the tip.’
