South African-born Australian actress and singer Tammin Sursok has been based in the U.S for years with her family and has only just relocated back Down Under.

But this week, she kept the American traditions alive when she hosted an intimate Thanksgiving celebration for close family and friends in Queensland this week. 

In images shared with Daily Mail Australia, the 38-year-old Pretty Little Liars star stunned in an emerald green minidress by the designer Zimmermann, which retails for $1,650.

Tammin revealed on Instagram that she rented the gorgeous frock from a dress hire website. 

The dress featured cut-outs over the bust, a mini design and long sleeves which looked gorgeous on Tammin.

The former Home and Away star wore her long dark locks out and over her shoulders and makeup including dewy foundation and a soft pink lip.

Tammin held her ‘Aussie Thanksgiving’ at The Grand on Stanley in Queensland’s Brisbane. 

Her producer husband Sean McEwen sweetly matched Tammin in a white and green striped shirt and beige trousers, looking dapper. 

For the occasion, Tammin set up long tables with stunning floral displays and had chefs whip up traditional Thanksgiving food, including a baked turkey. 

Taking to Instagram to share some images from the day, Tammin said she pulled the event together in a week and was thrilled with the outcome, listing some of her suppliers online.

‘A week ago I decided to throw Thanksgiving for my new friends, who have now become family, over here in Australia. I’ve never had a Thanksgiving on this side of the world and I was so honored to introduce them to a very American celebration,’ she explained.

‘Five days ago I had no venue and no idea how I would pull this off but the people who know me would have bet that I would get it done, somehow. If there is a will there is a way!!!’

She added that her first Aussie Thanksgiving was ‘so special’. 

Tammin returned to Australia earlier this year after living in the U.S with her husband Sean and their daughters, Phoenix, seven, and Lennon, two, for years.

She originally came back to shoot a film in Australia and has been in the country ever since. It remains unclear if the move is permanent.
