Twin brothers have been charged with the sexual abuse of two young boys as police probe into the cold case murders of three women in the same area.
One of the brothers was arrested at a home in Seven Hills last Wednesday while the other was arrested at a home in Greenacre in Sydney’s southwest on Thursday.
Police will allege the two young boys were sexually abused in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s by two men, both aged 69, who were known to them.
The alleged abuse came to light following extensive investigations into activity in the east Lake Macquarie area in the NSW Hunter Region almost 40 years ago.
The brother arrested in Seven Hills was taken to Blacktown Police Station and charged with three counts of sexual assault, among other charges.
He appeared in Blacktown Local Court where he was refused bail to re-appear in the same court in January.
The other man arrested in Greenacre was taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with 41 offences including counts of sexual intercourse with a child aged 10 or over and under 16 years.
More to come.
