An Amazon employee has shared shocking video of the day he quit doing deliveries after he had to being 314 packages to a single home.
Willy N’Goran, who still works for Amazon in another role, appears to have had enough after the particularly strenuous day, when he had to unload hundreds of heavy boxes for a single customer.
N’Goran has shared video of the massive delivery on TikTok, where it’s racked up 6.2 million views and counting.
Wow! Willy N’Goran has earned over 6.2 million views for the video, in which he is seen carrying boxes up to a home that is already overrun with deliveries
Massive! The front lawn and driveway are covered in large stacks of boxes that keep growing
‘The day I [quit] Amazon deliveries,’ he wrote over the video.
The clip begins as he pans his camera over some of the deliveries, which were so numerous that they were spread out over the customer’s lawn.
There are several bulk boxes of Gatorade and water, as well as countless brown cardboard boxes stacked in piles leading to the front door.
Many of the boxes have been stacked in a wall along one side of the driveway, coming out nearly as tall as N’Goran.
But that’s not all — he is seen still carrying over more boxes, which continue to fill up the driveway and block the front door.
‘Note that she is opening boxes as I deliver due to limited space,’ he wrote.
‘It took one hour [and] 47 minutes to deliver 314 heavy packages to this single home,’ he said
Whoops! N’Goran said that due to ‘an error in the system that delayed the deliveries,’ he had to deliver all the packages himself
So that’s why! The customer had put in the large number of orders for a local military regiment
‘It took one hour [and] 47 minutes to deliver 314 heavy packages to this single home,’ he added.
TikTok users were shocked by the video, wondering, ‘What in the world could be in all those boxes?’
‘Sorry was prepping for the end of the world,’ joke another.
Responding to commenters, N’Goran explained that the enormous delivery was unusual.
‘There was an error in the system that delayed the deliveries. They were to be split between different drivers but it went wrong. I was the last resort.’
He also explained just why the customer bought so much, writing that it ‘was actually for the local military regiment.’
New gig: N’Goran still works at Amazon but is now a dispatcher rather than a driver
He has shared several videos of himself working in different functions at Amazon
Though N’Goran decided to stop working as a delivery driver after this, he didn’t quit Amazon altogether, and now works as a dispatcher for the company.
He told Daily Dot that he posted the video because he wanted ‘to show people what they ignore about the delicate job, as far as un amount of packages and effort drivers sometimes showcase to make these last mile deliveries possible.’
‘It is true that we get a lot of packages some days but it’s mostly the apartments that make people quit,’ he added.
While he was ‘amazed’ by all the support he’s received from commenters, though, he added that he did see ‘a lot of ignorance and selfishness.’
